When to Visit

Pearl’s garden is open to visitors Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm, year-round.

The garden was designed to be attractive in all seasons. Most of the plants are ever-green, meaning they do not lose their leaves in autumn.  Pearl likes the garden best in winter, when the brown grass and new pine straw set off the green topiary.  However, the most popular time for visitors is during the May through September months when the topiary are most lush.  Spring bulbs bloom in March while the dogwoods reach their peak in April.  Other flowers bloom off-and-on throughout the summer season.

Temperatures average over 90F from May through August.  Temperatures in January in Bishopville average 55F, but it is often much colder in the garden.  Please check local weather listings before you arrive and come prepared.
